‘Digital Birdie - Its a Small World’ is the first digital artwork in the series to accompany the painted watercolour and acrylic version . I’m interested to see where the journey takes me to create a digital version for each of the paintings in the upcoming it’s a small world series .
I love to paint collected inspirations from my travels. Often my work derives from theme park related images and memories, sometimes my work is based on the landscaping of parks and public areas, other times I take my inspiration from the theatrical sets within the rides themselves. My art practice often shows it’s self as different subjects but they all come back to recreating that travel bubble . The feeling you get while travelling to forget all your worries and enjoy being you with the people you love the most . I want to portray that travel bubble feeling onto the viewer in hope that the artwork invokes a feeling of joy when viewed .
